Welcome to the web site of Dr. Bijan Safai, M.D; D.Sc. Dr. Safai is an internationally recognized dermatologist in NYC. He is known as a skin cancer specialist in NYC for his expertise and research associated with skin cancers, melanomas, and lymphomas of the skin.
Dr. Safai has vast experience in solving complex medical conditions of the skin that are not easy to diagnose and treat. Due to his accomplishments in the field of immunology of the skin and skin cancers; Dr. Safai is often consulted by other dermatologists for his opinion related to these issues. For decades, Dr. Safai has devoted his career to the education and training of medical students, residents and future dermatologists. Currently Dr. Safai is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at New York Medical College. Prior to that, Dr. Safai has served as Chief of Dermatology Service and Director of its research program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City for over 19 years. Dr.Safai has been included in New York Magazine's "Best Doctor's" issue, and has been selected by Castle Connolly as one of the New York Metro Area's Top Doctors
